Scholarship Details

Chef Jean-Louis Palladin is considered one of the culinary geniuses of the 20th century. He was  a master of his craft, known for his creativity, passion, technique, and commitment to the very best. Jean-Louis was as much a teacher as a chef, encouraging and mentoring many while demanding perfection of himself and all around him.


The Jean-Louis Palladin Professional Work/Study Grant was created to perpetuate the mission and programs of the Jean-Louis Palladin Foundation. 


Up to two annual grants for working chefs will be awarded for no more than $4,000 each.


Applicants must submit:

  • An up-to-date resume and cover letter
  • Two professional references
  • A detailed work/study plan alongside a detailed budget

Please note:

  • Half of the funding is provided up front and the other is sent after the program via reimbursement
  • Detailed expense forms and final narrative reports will be required for all accepted applicants
  • Reimbursement is contingent on the timely submission of the above documents
  • Applications are open for the Spring 2025 grant from March 15th to May 31st, 2025
